Misty is a one-girl disaster zone. Born with a Savant ‘gift’ that means she can never tell a lie, her compulsive truth-telling gets her into trouble wherever she goes.
So when she meets Alex: gorgeous, confident, and impossibly charming, Misty instantly resolves to keep her distance . . . Someone so perfect could never be hers, surely?
But a dark shadow has fallen across the Savant community. A serial killer is stalking young people who have these special mental powers. Soon one of them will be taken to the edge of death . . . and beyond.
Misty is a walking disaster! She demands everyone tells the truth, something she doesn’t do on purpose. Her gift is: the truth. She can’t lie and everyone around her can’t lie either, if they do, she knows it. This had caused a lot of trouble in her life and a lot of bully moments towards her.
When she goes with Uriel to Cape Town for his soulfinder, she meets the most gorgeous boy she has ever seen. Alex, a charming boy with no family. She has feelings for hem, but how can she not? Everyone seems to like him. To bad she’s only spending the summer in Cape Town.
Fortunately for her he is coming to Cambridge to competing for the debate finals. There she finds out, Alex is no ordinary boy. At least not for her. To bad she can’t enjoy the moments with Alex, not with a serial killer on the loose.
Of course after you read about the Savants you wish you had a soulfinder to. Who doesn’t want a soulmate, destined only for you. First I was sad that it wasn’t a Benedict brother but after I read Misty Falls the disappointment was gone. I really like Alex! He’s a sweet charming boy who had a really lonely life. And all the Benedict boys were in the story, so I have nothing to complain!
I quickly found out who was the serial killer. Of course I couldn’t prove it but my hunch was right. But despite my suspicion, I enjoyed reading Misty Falls. There is a lot of action and exiting moments in this book.
Okay I have to admit that I hope the next book will be about tall, dark, handsome and mysterious: Victor. The man that scares everyone. Hey a girl can dream!
Before you decide to read Misty Falls, I would recommend to read the the other books first.
