Review: Rival (Fall Away, #2) – Penelope Douglas

Madoc and Fallon. Two estranged teenagers playing games that push the boundaries between love and war…

She’s back.

For the two years she’s been away at boarding school, there was no word from her. Back when we lived in the same house, she used to cut me down during the day and then leave her door open for me at night.

I was stupid then, but now I’m ready to beat her at her own game…

I’m back.

Two years and I can tell he still wants me, even if he acts like he’s better than me.

But I won’t be scared away. Or pushed down. I’ll call his bluff and fight back. That’s what he wants, right? As long as I keep my guard up, he’ll never know how much he affects me….

My review:

For the summer Fallon decides to go back to her old house where Madoc lives with his father and for her, her stepdad. The only reason why she came back is revenge. Revenge on all the people that hurt her. But she it seems impossible to hurt Madoc. She could never have anticipated her feelings for him. She thought it would be gone after two years but she was wrong. She still craves him, but it seems like Madoc doesn’t feel the same.

Madoc already feels hurt and betrayal toward Fallon. He thinks she left because of him. He hates her ant wants nothing more than to see her hurt to. He doesn’t understand why she would come back after all those years. There is one thing however he can’t deny, and that’s his physical attraction towards her. But what if is more than just physical attraction?

They both don’t know what happened to one another, let alone the feelings they have towards each other.

Falling Away will be out on 01/06/2015!

You are going to be surprised when you read this book! The Madoc you know from Bully… Well get that out of your head! OMG he has a side that I didn’t know about. I always saw him as a boy who ran after Jared but I was wrong, really really wrong! He is not only funny, the guy is super hot and I like how he is towards Fallon.

I even have to admit, I wasn’t planning on reading the book immediately. But in the back from Until You were teaser chapters and I couldn’t stop reading! And now I can’t wait to read the story about Jaxton!

It’s different than Bully and Until you. Not only is it the story between Fallon en Madoc, but the writer has also written from both their POV’s, so you know what they both think!

I think you can conclude that I loved this book and that you need to read it! And the wonderful news is: Falling Away will be out on 01/06/2015! So that means we don’t have to wait long for the next book!
