Great beauty hides dark secrets…

Seventeen-year-old Anastasia Lockhart has never led an easy life, but when she starts getting into serious trouble, she’s sent to live with her grandparents in Cedar Falls. The small, picturesque town hasn’t changed since she visited four years ago, with one exception – the presence of a handsome, mysterious boy named Frost. Despite warnings from her grandparents and friends to stay away from Frost, Anastasia can’t deny their attraction, and the more time they spend together, the deeper in love they fall. Unfortunately, Frost has a secret that is beyond Anastasia’s wildest imagination, and she soon finds herself in the midst of a supernatural legend that has haunted Cedar Falls for years.

Can Anastasia and Frost’s love really overcome anything, or are their fates much darker?

My review:

The last past years Anastasia is doing things she shouldn’t do. The girl she ones was is gone. One night when she gets arrested her mother is done. She sends Anastasia to Cedar Falls where she is going to live with her grandparents. Anastasia hates it and feels abandoned by her own mother. She hasn’t even seen her grandparents or Cedar Falls in four years, but she knows nothing has changed in that little village.

But when she arrives in Cedar Falls she sees that nothing and all has changed. There lives a boy now, a boy that she never saw before, Frost. When she first sets her eyes upon him, she senses immediately a connection. And boy he is gorgeous. But her grandpa is forbidding her to see or do anything with Frost. An order she’s going to disobey.

On her first day in schools she noticed Frost is an outcast. People talk about him and her best friend in Cedar Falls from her past is warning to stay away from him. She soon realizes they are not accepting new people very well, and they don’t like Anastasia either. The queen-bee from school is giving her a hard time and people talk about her.

The people in Cedar Falls are right, just not in the right way, there is something strange going on with Frost despite his kindness. And Anastasia is going to find out!

Grab a blanket, hot chocolate and start reading!

The book is giving you a winter atmosphere, it fits perfect for this time of the year. The book is romantic and exiting. Anastasia knows from the beginning of the book that there’s something in the woods. What it is, she doesn’t know, but as a reader it’s not hard to guess. There are little hints in the book and on a night when Anastasia gets ‘attacked’ you know what and who it is.

You will not only find out things about Frost, but also about the hard life her mother had in the past. Everyone has a story to tell in this book and that’s makes is so wonderful to read. I don’t know if there’s going to be a second book, but it may be possible. For now it’s a stand alone, and believe me sometimes it’s nice to read a book that’s not a series. So I would say, grab a blanket, hot chocolate and start reading!
