Afterlife… just some gothic nightclub where gossip is fuelled by the presence of a rich and unearthly, handsome family or Afterlife…the strange place where time seems to stand still and guests feel the presence of something more powerful held within the confines of the VIP.

Keira is new to this small, cold town and is running from a past that seems to feast on her darkest memories. She finds living with her sister away from English soil to be just the ticket to the new life she is trying desperately to find. So when the offer of a job at the infamous Gothic nightclub Afterlife comes along she thinks that lady luck has finally found her. That is until its seductively dark and forbidding owner Dominic Draven sets eyes on her. All at once she is captivated and plunged into a world she never knew existed but the deeper her obsession with Draven becomes, the harder it is to decide…should she stay and continue to work within the shadows of the supernatural or should she run from a madness she thinks may consume her?

My review:

Keira has a dark past and wants nothing more then to forget everything and leave it all behind. Short after she moved to live with her sister, she’s start having dreams about a strange handsome man. Soon she finds out who this man is, he is the owner of the dark mysterious nightclub Afterlife, he is Dominic Draven.

She cannot think of anything else but Draven, she’s obsessed with him. So when her brother in law arranges a job for her at Afterlife, she’s happy and excited about it. Keira quickly gets a promotion to the VIP. A place where nobody’s allowed to enter. There she sees Draven everyday, but he’s not the same man from her dreams. His attitude toward her is cruel and cold. Still she haves an attraction towards him Keira can’t explain.

When her past catches up on her, Draven does everything in his power to protect her despite his attitude. His true intentions come to the surface and everything isn’t so black and white as it seems. What if he has feelings for her and her fate rests with him?

The love between Keira and Draven is overwhelming

Afterlife is one of the most amazing books I have ever read! The love between Keira and Draven is overwhelming. Yes in the beginning he wants nothing to do with her outside her dreams. But o boy it’s worth the wait. When you start to read there is no stopping. As the story continues you find out more and more about the supernatural world Draven lives in and why Keira is running from her past. However Stephanie Hudson doesn’t reveal everything in part one from the Afterlife saga. When you finished Afterlife there will be a lot of stuff you don’t know about. But that only makes it exciting, and believes me you can’t wait to read The Two Kings.

So I would seriously recommend it. This book is one of my favorites for a reason. I’ve read all the four books and the story will be better and better. Part five The Pentagram Child will be released on the December 20th 2014. So if you want to read the saga now, you wouldn’t have to wait long for the next book. In the end the saga will count seven books en three spin-offs from characters who are droolworthy as Draven.

I hope I made you guys enthusiastic and that you will read Afterlife soon.
All I can say is, Stephanie Hudson did an amazing job writing Afterlife!
